Golden Pop Up Office

Starts: October 12th, 2017 - 11:00am
Where: Golden Civic Centre

One of the most important resources I am able to offer in my role as your Member of Parliament is to support constituents on federal matters. I know that accessing your nearest Service Canada office or even my constituency offices can be a challenge across an area as big as Kootenay-Columbia –especially during these winter months. That is why I am excited to announce that throughout 2017 I will be bringing my constituency offices to communities across the riding in a series of pop-up offices.

My staff will be on hand to help you to navigate and resolve issues with federal government departments, programs and services. Whenever it is possible, I look forward to being able to stop in at the pop-up office to hear your concerns.  I know how challenging it is to access updates and information from federal government agencies – especially if your only point of contact is a busy phone line. As your MP, I am able to inquire on your behalf and assist you in updating your case file with additional required information.

Wayne Stetski, Member of Parliament for Kootenay-Columbia, will
host a Small Business Forum in Nelson on May 24th. The Nelson Small
Business Forum will provide Central Kootenay business owners with the
opportunity to address representatives from federal, provincial and municipal
governments on how they can better support small businesses in the region.
“Small businesses are the drivers of our local economies. They provide jobs
which support our families and keep rural communities vibrant,” Stetski said.
“During the election I made a commitment to small business owners that I
would work with all levels of government toward improving the business climate
in our region. The business forums are an important step in fulfilling that
commitment.”
“We know rural small businesses face a range of challenges,” Stetski added.
“It is important for policy makers to hear first-hand how their decisions affect
the day to day operations of the businesses our communities rely on.”
Stetski will head a panel of representatives from the three levels of
government. All business owners throughout the Central Kootenay are invited
to join the Forum and participate in this opportunity to share ideas on how to
better sustain and grow their operations. This is the third in a series of
business forums Stetski has hosted in the riding.
